Dr. Michael Benichou, DMD

Dr. Michael Benichou is a full-scope Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon dedicated to providing exceptional surgical care in a comfortable, compassionate environment. He believes that building trust, educating patients, and creating a positive experience are just as important as achieving outstanding clinical outcomes.

Originally from Fort Lee, New Jersey, Dr. Benichou earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Western University of Health Sciences in California, where he graduated at the top of his class and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) National Dental Honor Society. He completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at The Brooklyn Hospital Center before pursuing advanced fellowship training at the Oral Facial Surgery Institute in St. Louis, MO. During his fellowship, he received specialized training in temporomandibular joint (TMJ) surgery, corrective jaw (orthognathic) surgery, and the surgical management of severe obstructive sleep apnea. He maintains a special interest in procedures ranging from full-arch dental implant rehabilitation to the management of oral and maxillofacial pathology.

Outside the office, Dr. Benichou enjoys spending quality time with his wife and their son, exploring restaurants and museums around the city. He also enjoys hiking, playing tennis, attending concerts, and cheering on the New York Knicks.
