After Laser and/or Biopsies

Do not disturb the area of surgery except for wound care as directed. Over- exerting yourself may cause bleeding and throbbing pain. Smokers are advised to refrain for at least 48 hours. You may suck on ice chips intermittently for the first day.

After 24 hours, rinse with warm salt water.

Maintain a soft,bland, cool to warm diet for the first day. Avoid spicy, salty and crunchy foods for a few days.

Do not be alramed if the surgical area has a brownish scab like appearance. It will regain normal color and contour within a short period.
